§ 9-6. Mandatory retirement from city.
Latest version.
Every employee of the city shall be automatically retired from employment with the city upon reaching the age of 65 years. An employee so retired shall be paid all accumulated sick leave and annual leave at such time in accordance with the personnel policy in effect at the time of retirement.
Upon recommendation of the city manager and majority vote of the city council, such mandatory retirement may be suspended as to any employee for a one-year period.
