§ 8-19. Providing false or misleading information.

  • (a)

    Providing false or misleading information prohibited. A person commits an offense if he unlawfully gives or provides false or misleading information to a police officer, public service officer or emergency dispatcher regarding any emergency or other occurrence involving the police of fire department.

    (b)

    Violations; penalty. A person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not less than $200.00 nor more than $500.00 with each occurrence constituting a separate offense.
