§ 1-17. City swimming pool regulations.

  • (a)

    Admission charge. The charges for admission to the municipal swimming pool shall be as provided for in Appendix 1: Fee Schedule.

    (b)

    Pool manager. There shall be a pool manager at each city pool who shall be appointed and under the immediate supervision of the parks and recreation director. The pool manager shall be in charge of the swimming pool and shall supervise all city employees assigned to the pool. The pool manager shall promulgate rules and regulations for use of the pool, and as approved by the parks and recreation director, and such rules and regulations shall be posted at the pool. The pool manager may expel from the pool enclosure any person refusing to abide by the posted rules and regulations. The pool manager shall designate the hours during which the pool is open to the public and shall schedule all activities taking place at the pool provided such activities are approved by the parks and recreation director.

    (c)

    Enclosure capacity at city pools. The maximum number of persons allowed within any enclosure surrounding the city swimming pool at any one time shall not exceed the capacity as established by the fire marshal. The pool manager shall refuse to admit additional persons to the pool enclosure if the number of persons within the enclosure exceeds this capacity.

    (d)

    Swimming pool hours. The opening and closing dates of the swimming pool as well as the regular hours of operation shall be established by the Terrell Parks Board.
