§ 2.1. Pre-Application Procedures.

Latest version.
  • The applicant should avail himself or herself of the advice and assistance of the City's administrative officers in the Engineering and Municipal Development Departments, including its retained planning and engineering consultants (as applicable), and should consult early and informally with those officers and consultants before preparing engineering plans or any plat in order to save time and money, and to avoid potential unnecessary delays.

Prior to formal application for approval of a construction or final plat, the applicant may request and attend one or more pre-submittal conferences with the appropriate City official(s) in order to become familiar with the City's development regulations and the subdivision process prior to committing resources to the project. At the pre-submittal conference, the applicant may be represented by his or her land planner, engineer and/or surveyor. Due to the inherent vagueness and incompleteness of early conceptual plans or designs which may or may not be feasible or in compliance with State and Local codes the developer/applicant shall be required to sign a waiver of any early vesting rights under Chapter 245 of the Texas Local Government Code prior to attending and pre-submittal conference with City staff.
